This year Rochester is pleased to begin providing service to the Des Moines Independent School District. This includes approximately 60 schools. Most of the schools require weekly pick-up during the school year and only every other week during the summer months. However, there are a dozen or so that are on a daily pick-up schedule.
The Des Moines branch is handling this new business. John Nickell, manager of armored car services in Des Moines, explained that because of the number of schools and pick-ups he hired a full-time courier and got a new courier vehicle dedicated to the Des Moines ISD. We started working with the schools in July and so far everything has been good, said Nickell. “It is a fantastic opportunity for our branch,” he added.
“We are excited about the addition of the Des Moines ISD and the number of school districts we work with continues to grow,” said Joseph W. Shea, vice president of sales. “Just like our retail customers, our armored transportation and courier services make transporting cash easier and much safer for these school districts.”
